Our Scoring System

Curious how we rate our chips? Below you’ll find all the information you need:

Flavor accuracy: This is a metric to determine how accurately named the chips are, e.g., “do these sour cream and onion chips taste like sour cream and onion.”

Flavor quality: This is a metric to report how subjectively “good” the chip is.

Aftertaste: This is a metric we use to determine whether or not a chip has any undesirable taste after eating it.

Bag quality: This is a metric we use to determine the full chip to crumb ratio in the bag, if there’s too much air in the bag, if it’s hard to eat out of the bag, etc.

Overall: This is the final score for the chip, it would be easiest to think of it as “would I eat this chip again?”
